AWP’s ValveCalc program is designed for the selection and dimensioning of AWP refrigeration valves. The program aids in the selection of valves for each specific area of the refrigeration system. The user selects the correct dimensions by entering the operating conditions into the program in a step by step process.

The Calculation of an entire section with several dissimilar valves is likewise possible. This enables the user to combine all areas and valves of the system individually.

ValveCalc assists also in the dimensioning of branched safety lines including the overflow blow-off lines, complete with pipes, bends, reductions and various parts to be integrated. ValveCalc offers a construction environment to display and modify a system. The component parts such as safety valves, vessels and lines can be introduced via drag and drop to create the system. Additional data such as refrigerant type, output pressure and the regulating standards are defined by the input mask. After the calculation of dimensions have been completed, a flow simulation is carried out using the system’s simulation function.
